Garza County Historical Museum featured a special exhibit of pottery and artifacts from ancient Puebloan tribes that they wanted to promote. The exhibit was on loan from a private collection. The museum director provided the title of the show but gave me carte blanche for the three components: an eight-page brochure, a postcard invitation, and a poster. I designed and mapped the layout, photographed the artifacts, clipped the images, researched information, and wrote copy—essentially building the entire project from the ground up. I also featured artifact paintings by a local artist whose work was on display at the museum. For the postcard invitation, I incorporated a spot varnish in the printing so the main image would pop. The final pieces were well received and helped increase visitor attendance at the museum.
